No. November 19, 2026 is the current date and Rockstar has not announced any delay beyond it. The game has slipped twice: from a fall 2025 window to May 26, 2026, and then to November 19, 2026. Both delays were announced by Rockstar directly rather than leaked, so watch Rockstar Newswire for any third change.

The Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99. Pre-ordering before launch adds the free Vintage Vice City Pack. There is no early access for either edition.

At launch GTA 6 is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. A PC version has not been announced — based on GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, a PC release typically follows one to two years later.

No. GTA 6 skips the previous console generation entirely — there is no PS4 or Xbox One version, and Rockstar has not hinted at one. The game is built for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S hardware, and it also runs on PS5 Pro and the Series S. If you are still on last-gen hardware, a console upgrade is required.

Pre-orders are open at the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and major retailers including Amazon, GameStop and Best Buy. Every pre-order placed before November 19, 2026 includes the free Vintage Vice City Pack. Neither edition ships on a disc: Rockstar lists the Standard Edition as "Digital or Code in Box", so a boxed copy from a retailer contains a download code rather than a disc, and the Ultimate Edition is digital only, so it can only be pre-ordered from the console stores.

The Vintage Vice City Pack is the free pre-order bonus and contains the '55 Vapid Stanier sedan, the Shore Court personal garage in Ocean Beach, exclusive outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, a tropical weapon pattern, and one month of GTA+. It is included with every pre-order of either edition placed before launch.

GTA 6 has two playable protagonists: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style duo at the center of the story. Lucia is the first female protagonist in a mainline GTA since the 2D era.

Community analysis of the trailers puts the map at roughly 125 km² of land — about twice the size of GTA V's — across six regions with no loading screens. Rockstar has not published an official figure, so treat the number as a well-supported community estimate rather than a confirmed stat.

Ultimate ($99.99, digital only) adds five exclusive vehicles, four weapon variants, five exclusive shops, the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, a side mission and cosmetic packs. You can upgrade from Standard at any time.

75 vehicles and 39 weapons are confirmed so far, identified from Rockstar's official trailers, screenshots and promotional material. Both numbers are pre-launch counts and will grow — the full in-game totals stay unknown until November 19, 2026.

Rockstar has not detailed multiplayer yet, but a next-generation GTA Online is widely expected to follow the single-player launch, as it did with GTA V.

No. New Rockstar releases do not launch on Xbox Game Pass or the PlayStation Plus catalogue, and nothing suggests GTA 6 will be the exception. GTA V eventually appeared on both services, but only years after release. Expect to buy GTA 6 outright at launch.

Two official trailers so far. Trailer 1 released December 4, 2023 and revealed Lucia, Vice City and the state of Leonida. Trailer 2 released May 6, 2025 and brought Jason and Lucia's story into focus with heists, the Keys and Mount Kalaga.
